The different artist's works in the recently concluded comics event, the Komikon Baguio.

Just yesterday at the fourth floor of CAP Building in Baguio City, the Komikon Baguio was held. It was fun to see several artists gather in a full house event with book auctions, talks, cosplay items, cosplayers, on hand Photoshop presentation, digital painting, character design contests and book signing. I was very happy when I saw my idol comic artist under his author name “Manix Abrera” who draws and illustrates the wittiest modern way of tickling our minds through his strips. =D

Sagada Tour: The Mountain Guide

My wild dream of finally spelunking happened here in Sagada.

If you have never been in a place so rustic in nature, so rugged in outdoor and it’s just plain simple, then chances are, you haven’t been yet to the Mountain Province in the Philippines. When we say Mountain Province, we pertain to the province next to the Cordilleran province of Benguet. And the best offering of this province is what we call “Sagada”, a very simple town six hours away from Baguio City. The views going there is just so magnificent, how much more when you get tour yourself there?

Komikon Baguio to Happen on February 9, 2013

The Komikon Baguio poster
Do you love reading comic books or comics?

If you are going ask to me the same question, I definitely do. I love reading funny comics as much as I love writing travel articles for Travex Travels. Though I am not really as gifted as the others who are talented in such a way they are experts in creating visual icons and drawings, my fond of reading it enabled me to understand how illustrations work. And thus I am going to attend this very special event made for artists who are living in the City of Pines.

After Baguio White House, It’s Diplomat Hotel’s Turn to Become a Movie

The Diplomat Hotel Ruins in Dominican Hill, Baguio City. (January 2013 photo)

There is really something in Baguio that turns this cool city to a nightmare. Not because it is a mountain city but because it is a lovely destination for haunting and the haunted. Baguio City is not just well known for its strawberries, sunflowers and the lovely Igorot people. It is also a city where you find those which cannot be found.
