Baler tourist attraction map and guide
Baler, Aurora is an emerging tourist town comparable, but less crowded, to Sagada and Baguio City. Tourist destinations in downtown Baler are walkable since some of them are very near each other like Museo de Baler, Rolling Stores, Quezon Ancestral House and Baler Catholic Church. However, some other Baler tourist attractions in the greater Baler area, are farther, like the Millenium Tree and Ditumabo Falls. The farthest tourist spot in Baler area is the Ampere Beach which is already located in the town of Dipaculao, Aurora.

Slippery Rockin’-Rollin’ Diguisit Falls in Baler

Diguisit Falls in Baler, Aurora

The trek to Ditumabo Falls has made us to level up our trekking skills (not really). The idea of a falls located just beside the road made us think that it was a no-sweat activity. We were all wrong. That Diguisit Falls just beside the road is a heck to try and will require you to conquer your fear of not slipping through the muddy and rocky ascending paths just to reach the poolside of the waterfalls.

The Mother of the Falls—Dip in Ditumabo Falls of San Luis, Aurora

Mother Falls, or Ditumabo Falls, in San Luis, Aurora, a town next to Baler.
Another thirty-minute trike road lead us to a more exciting tourist spot in the province. The people call it “Mother Falls” as it is one of the greatest falls if not the greatest, in Aurora Province. During our visit, the road that leads to this falls is bumpy and rocky. There were times that we pushed the trike on some steep slopes of the road. So if you are also heading here, prepare to really enjoy the rocky road trip.

Bolinao Falls—Swimming, Swimming Din Pag May Time!

Bolinao Falls
Tara Falls was such an amazing little falls of Bolinao, Pangasinan. We were not able though to try and dip our body in its cool waters, so we just contented ourselves to taking photos of the falls. After it, we left Tara Falls for water falls again—this time, the Bolinao Falls. Tsk, tsk, sarap-sarap mag-swimming swimming pag may time!

Tara na sa Tara Falls in Bolinao

Tara Falls in Bolinao, Pangasinan
The cave we visited was a bit downer (Wonderful Cave) because of the pricey entrance fee. But this did not stop us to continue our adventure in this western side of Pangasinan. Instead, we headed for some cool waters in Barangay Tara, Bolinao. Tara Falls was a series of different falls, but they were all small. But it was a good opportunity for photo backdrops.

Trail Down to Bokong Falls in Sagada

Bokong Falls in Sagada

After our en route quest to the Underground River of Sagada, we finally headed to the smallest of the three falls—Bokong Falls, which is a few minutes from the rock formation along the way. I, Christian and the two backpackers have gone to the woods to finally see the small falls.

Bolinao Lighthouse, Cave, Falls, Rock and Roll

THE CAPE BOLINAO LIGHTHOUSE. The second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines.
Part 8 of The Pangasinan Escapade

We didn’t spend the whole day at the beach even if we wanted to. We still had more places to visit. After that awesome experience, we went to take some pictures at the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse. Cape Bolinao Lighthouse is currently the second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines after Cape Bojeador in Ilocos. It was built by the Filipino and American engineers in 1905. There is no entrance fee at this lighthouse.
