Greet the Sunrise in Ampere Beach, Dipaculao, Aurora

Waves, rocks and sunrise in one of the most beautiful beaches in Aurora--Ampere Beach, Dipaculao.

A night in Sabang Beach in Baler did not stop us to pursue our next adventure which starts in a farther town called Dipaculao, still in Aurora. Organized chronologically, we took our trip as follows: Ampere Beach, Balete Tree, Ditumabo (Mother Falls), Ermita Hill, Cemento Beach/Cobra Reef, Lukso-Lukso Islets, Diguisit Falls, and Diguisit Beach and Islets. We woke up past three in the morning (that early!), prepared for our breakfast, ate our breakfast, packed our things and drove away a few minutes past four in the morning. The reason why we woke up that early is to greet the sweet sunrise in Ampere Beach.

Amazing Sagada Rock Formations

Sagada limestone rock formation

From the Yellow Inn nearly in front of the Yoghurt House, we decided to check out Sumaguing Cave. The way to Sumaguing Cave and Lumiang will pass by the side of the view deck of the main Sagada rock formations. It was now my second time to see the rock formations again but this time the weather is good and sunny thus photos are bit clearer.

Passing the Crocodile Island in Dasol

The "eye" of the Crocodile Island in Dasol, Pangasinan

Crocodile Island in Dasol, Pangasinan was so named because the island itself looks like a crocodile, with the hole near the end of the island as its eyes. There were also legends that crocodiles once lived the area, but with time, they vanished because food was scarce. Now, Crocodile Island near Tambobong Beach in Dasol, Pangasinan became one of the tourist destinations in the said place, together with Balinmanok Cove, Culebra/Collibra Island, a cave and a shipwreck. As there are other islands in Dasol, Pangasinan, this island features naturally carve rock formations, with the hole of the islands as its mainstream.

Bolinao Lighthouse, Cave, Falls, Rock and Roll

THE CAPE BOLINAO LIGHTHOUSE. The second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines.
Part 8 of The Pangasinan Escapade

We didn’t spend the whole day at the beach even if we wanted to. We still had more places to visit. After that awesome experience, we went to take some pictures at the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse. Cape Bolinao Lighthouse is currently the second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines after Cape Bojeador in Ilocos. It was built by the Filipino and American engineers in 1905. There is no entrance fee at this lighthouse.
