Dasol, Pangasinan: Another Island Hopping Story

Crocodile Island in Dasol, Pangasinan
The first time I did island hopping was back when we visited Hundred Islands National Park in Alaminos City, Pangasinan. After that, island hopping was already on my list of most wanted activities to do. And I never imagined that the next island hopping adventure was going to happen again in Pangasinan, now at a town in its western side, almost adjacent to the province of Zambales.

Tambobong Beach in Dasol, Pangasinan.

Tambobong Beach in Dasol, Pangasinan is an outskirt beach located around one hour from the nearest downtown of Burgos, Pangasinan. Tambobong Beach is a dirty-white sand beach, more of a soil-like color. The waters of the beach is said to be swimmable during high tide but during low tide, seagrasses appear. Tambobong Beach is also a fishing ground among local fishermen. The shores of this beach serve as the jump-off point to the other tourist destinations in Dasol, Pangasinan namely Crocodile Island, Balinmanok Cove, Culebra Island, a cave and a shipwreck. When one wants to be secluded in a serene beach, Tambobong Beach is a good place.

Dasol Hideaway: Things to Know Before You Go

Pangasinan never fails in terms of its different tourist spots, the off-the-beaten paths, particularly its beaches. If you are planning on a weekend beach getaway, Pangasinan must be an alternative if not main in your list. And believe it or not, most of its beautiful beaches are all found in the western side of the province. You might have already heard about Bolinao (or you might have visited it several times already) and its golden beach of Patar. Yes, that beach in Bolinao is really awesome. But have you already heard of Culebra Island (or Collibra Island as other people say it) in Dasol and saw its white sand beach? If not, you might as well consider this in your next trip. It is a GOOD competitor to what Patar Beach in Bolinao can offer.
