The Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark started just as Baguio City started its Panagbenga Festival. The Hot Air Balloon Festival is yearly celebrated in the heart of Angeles City in Pampanga, inside Omni Aviation at Air Force City in Clark. One can witness hot air balloons fly as high as they could, plus bonus exhibitions of paragliding artists and professionals. It's a four-day event, with most likely the same schedule. The festival usually falls on the second week of February, any date from Thursday until Sunday. Panagbenga Festival (season of flowers blooming), is yearly celebrated in the mountain resort city of Baguio. Started in 1995, the festival now draws in more than a million tourists both local and foreign to come to Baguio to witness “thousands of flowers in bloom”. The festival’s main highlights are the street parade (where different schools compete) and the float parade (where organizations and companies participate). Other events include the fluvial parade (in Burnham Lake) and Session in Bloom (a week of trade fairs, concerts and parties along Session Road).
